Distance Is Not A Problem!

Hello Everyone! Hope you've all been good.
Today, I wanted to share somethings with you. My friends and I will be going off to college in a few weeks and we will all be going to different countries and places. Its a big change for me, and I've cried several times just thinking about the fact that I won't get to see my closest friends that much anymore. My fear is that, the relationships I have will suffer because of the distance but really I have nothing to be afraid of.
I'm going to share some things that I have been doing to make this period easier.
1. Communication: Communication is the most important thing needed for a relationship to last. Lack of communication is dangerous to the health of your relationship. I make sure I speak to the people I want to keep in my life forever everyday! Before, I didn't bother with that because I would see them the next day anyway but now it's important. Now I don't go a day without speaking to them no matter how short the conversation is so that it becomes a habit. You eventually get used to it, and start to feel odd when you go a day without speaking to them. It does not matter if your are in different countries with different time zones, talk to them. COMMUNICATION IS KEY!
2. Avoid Unnecessary Fights: This is a simple point. You and the people you love are being separated for a while, the last thing you need is a stupid fight right before you guys leave. AVOID UNNECESSARY FIGHTS.
3. Have Fun with them with time you have left: The time you guys have together might be short but it's important you use that time well. Have the best time with your friends so that you have great memories when you're in school. And when on holidays have fun together again! Whatever time you guys have together no matter how little, try and have the best time!
4. Make plans to meet up when you can: All schools go on holiday, so you all could plan to meet up during the holidays. Maybe you happen to be in the same city for something, meet up. Even if it's for a few hours, trust me those few hours will help that relationship.
All relationships require effort to survive. If those people in your life mean a lot to you, you would do anything to sustain that relationship and nothing will destroy that, not even distance. So remember, Distance is not a problem!
Much love - Fayo x
