Graduation| Lessons Learnt From School
07:32:00Hi Anomalies!
This is a post we've been meaning to do for a while actually but the last few weeks have been pretty crazy. Anyway, we recently just graduated, Yay! Secondary school has been some experience, glad we're done.
These last six years have been truly amazing. I think we're most grateful to God for our classmates. The experience wouldn't have been the same without every single one of them. Our bond has become so strong, it's unbelievable. We've learnt so much from our set mates and the experiences. Some of which you will see below. It's hard to believe we're all finally done but it's exciting to know that we have so much more ahead of us. Anyway, these are a few lessons we learnt from secondary school.
- Don’t try to be friends with everyone. I don’t think you need to have a large group of friends to be happy BUT at the same time don’t make enemies, please. Be kind to everyone around you, you never know, sometime in the future you might need someone’s help.
- Not everyone wants the best for you. Even some of your so called “friends” aren’t happy for you when you make progress. It’s just what it is. Take note of such people and slowly distance yourself from them.
- Care enough to confront – I (Tomisin) absolutely dislike confrontations. I would rather just keep quiet to be honest. But over the past few years I’ve learnt that if you truly care about someone then it’s best to speak up when they do things that don’t go so well with you.
- MIND YOUR BUSINESS – This is in caps lock for a reason. Please just try and mind your own business. There’d be less arguments and quarrels if one just stays in his or her own lane.
- Don’t judge or compare yourself with any other person – Everyone’s journey in life is different, so what works for another person might not exactly work for you. Do your own thing and let others do their own thing as well. I don’t think it’s okay to judge another person’s actions based on your own beliefs.
- Don’t wait till you’re perfect before you start doing something you love. This blog is my example. Stop wasting time trying to be perfect, do it and eventually you will get better and better. BUT never ever settle for mediocrity. Whatsoever is worth doing is worth doing well.
Here are some pictures from our graduation. It was a beautiful day for us.
